21 Day Fix Extreme Meal Plan

I’ve completed 2 rounds of the 21 Day Fix Extreme and really enjoy the challenge of the workouts! EVERYTHNG is kicked up a few notches from the original 21 Day Fix (even the pilates and yoga).  Plyo Fix Extreme might just be one of the toughest workouts I have done as well.  But what is challenging only makes you stronger!

Through both rounds I followed the EXTREME eating plan the whole time! It was only slightly different that the original 21 Day Fix Nutrition Plan with just some of the ‘less healthy’ foods eliminated.

I always steered clear of the Countdown to Competition Plan though because I love my carbs and fruit!  The countdown to competition plan includes alternating 2 days of the countdown to competition plan followed by 1 day of the extreme meal plan.

This is how the Extreme and Countdown to Competition Plan Differ for me in the 1200-1499 Calorie Range.

Extreme: 3 Vegetables, 4 proteins, 2 carbs, 2 fruits, 1 healthy fats/nuts, 1 dressing/seeds, and 2 tsp.

Countdown to Competition:  3 Vegetables, 6 proteins, 1 carb, and 3 tsp.

But I have one week until vacation so it’s time to get down to business! I’m trying out the last 6 days of the Countdown to Competition plan this week, and I’m not going to lie I am scared but also excited to see what it brings!

Nutrition is a key aspect that is really going to dictate the results you get.  Remember nutrition is 70-80% of your results vs 20-30% based on your workouts.  So you can’t out exercise a bad diet!  

My game plan- I’m following the last  days of the Countdown to Competition plan which means Monday and Tuesday are carb depletion days, Wednesday is a regular day, and Thursday, Friday, and Saturday are carb depletion days.  I know it is going to be tough but I have a beautiful beach motivation!

What is your motivation? It’s summer so everyone wants to look their best!  I know I do! I always think about trying on bathing suits and the beach to stay motivated! 🙂
