Clean Margarita Recipe
Let’s face it, margaritas are delicious!! Taco Tuesday, Cinco de Mayo, Saturday afternoon. You name it, anytime is a good time for a margarita. At home, try out this clean margarita recipe for a delicious drink. Be wary when ordering for restaurants- one margarita can pack over 500 calories and TONS of sugar!
If you make them at home, have you ever made them with that premade mix? Have you ever looked at the nutrition label to see the ingredients and sugar that’s in one serving? If you haven’t, I recommend doing so and then try out this clean margarita recipe! Now imagine yourself on your back porch, grilling out with friends and family on a warm summer day, sipping on one of these!
The recipe really couldn’t be any easier. This is on the rocks so no blending is needed! If you find the tequila taste is too strong, I recommend adding additional lime juice and soda water as necessary.
Ingredients
1.5 oz silver tequila
1 splash of triple sec
Juice of half a lime
Ice
Sparkling Water, as needed
Directions
- Combine the tequila, triple sec, and lime juice and stir well (or put in a shaker).
- Add to a glass with ice.
- Fill to the top with sparkling water.
- Top with a lime wedge and a fancy straw if you like!
