Strawberry Protein Bars
On the go eating is always hard- nuts, apples, bananas- sometimes when you are in the car you need more than that! Granola/protein bars are a great option but you have to watch out for those preservatives, additives, and sugars in store bought brands. I love making my own and this time I tried Strawberry Protein Bars!
Ingredients
(Makes 4 bars or 8 smaller squares- 1 bar or 2 squares is a serving)
1 cup old fashioned oats
2 scoops strawberry or vegan tropical strawberry Shakeology
1/4 cup all natural almond butter
1/4 cup +1/8 cup unsweetened almond milk
Directions:
1. Place oats and Shakeology in blender and cover-blend for 1 minute.
2. Add almond butter and almond milk and cover- blend for 1 minute until a wet dough forms.
3. Place in a baking dish; press evenly to cover bottom of dish.
4. Refrigerate 2 hours or until firm- cut into bars or squares!
