Red, White, and Blue Vanilla Smoothie Bowl
Happy 4th of July! As we are all celebrating and having a good time- it calls for some festive recipes. This red, white, and blue, vanilla smoothie bowl recipe is amazing and tastes like you are eating ice cream- except none of the bad stuff, just superfoods, vitamins, minerals, and a whole lot of festive looks! 🙂
This is really filling and is the perfect snack or breakfast anytime. Raspberries, blueberries, unsweetened coconut, and sliver almonds really pack a nice flavor punch to this recipe. I really recommend a good blender that can hold at least 24 oz of liquid/items in it at once. You are going to make sure the base is smooth and creamy first- then just add the toppings.
Vanilla Smoothie Bowl
Ingredients
1 scoop Vanilla Protein Powder (I use shakeology)
3/4 cup unsweetened almond milk
1/4 frozen banana
1/2 tsp honey
1 cup of ice
1/4 cup blueberries
1/4 cup raspberries
1 tsp unsweetened coconut
1 Tbsp slivered almonds
Directions
- Place shakeology, almond milk, banana, honey, and ice in a blender and blend until smooth. It should be a thick ice cream-like texture (if not add more ice).
- Pour the mixture into a bowl and top with blueberries, raspberries, coconut, and almonds.
That’s it! Enjoy!!
