Healthy 4th of July Recipes
Happy 4th of July Weekend, or Canada Day! Whichever holiday you are celebrating this weekend you SHOULD have fun BUT also not ruin all your progress! I hope you are enjoying the picnics and parties this beautiful weekend. Remember, you can bring a healthy and festive side dish to the party and everyone will appreciate it. Here are some healthy 4th of July recipes!
FESTIVE SNACKS
Patriotic Quinoa Yogurt Berry Parfait
- 3/4 cup non fat greek yogurt
- 1/2 cup cooked quinoa
- 1 cup of mixed sliced strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries
- 1 tsp honey
Add the yogurt first, then the quinoa, and honey. Finally, top with the fruit and stir it all together.
American Flag Toast
- 1 slice whole grain toast
- 2 tsp natural peanut butter
- 1/4 cup blueberries
- 1/4 cup strawberries
- 1/4 banana
Spread the peanut butter on the toast and arrange fruit as in the above picture, for a festive American Flag.
Yogurt Bites

- Vanilla Greek Yogurt
- Strawberries (Diced)
- Blueberries (Halved)
Place the strawberries/blueberries in a silicone mold and cover with yogurt. Make sure to put the blueberries round side down. As for the strawberries, dice them in very tiny pieces. Freeze for at least 2 hours!
Festive Fruit Tray
This one is easy! Grab some blueberries, banana, and strawberries (sliced), and place them on skewers!
